Two self contained cottages set in the bounds of historic Chelston Farm. Chelston was established in 1870, firstly as a steam driven sawmill, then from 1910 it was farmed. The Chelston cottages are unique slices of New Zealand farming history. The old shearers quarters from 1942 has a beautiful private outlook with the sights and sounds of the country. Both cottages are separate from each other in their own worlds. The old stables accommodation is a real slice of Kiwi history. It is a unique opportunity to experience and stay in a genuine early century cottage with all the modern comforts and beautiful views. Close to native bush, abundant bird life and all grades of walking from the fit to the frail. Many farm animals to experience. Established gardens, wonderful elevated views. Absolute seclusion peace and natural beauty. Pets welcome. Campervans catered for. Full meals available on request. Pick up and tranfers available. Broadband internet service available onsite.
