The Mole Creek Guesthouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the Meander Valley, northern Tasmania. Mole Creek is an hours drive west of Launceston (72 kilometres). The Guesthouse has a choice of five standard or deluxe ensuite rooms. Both have either king or queen-size beds, and the deluxe rooms have private sitting rooms with complimentary port and chocolates. One of the deluxe rooms has an antique bath dating to 1900. Other facilities include a laundry and drying room and a barbecue. Guests can choose from a continental or cooked breakfast, and the property's Laurel Berry restaurant uses the freshest Tasmanian produce and fine wine. There is also a gift shop featuring the work of local artisans. Built in 1890 as a general store and hotel, the Mole Creek Guesthouse retains many original features including pressed metal ceilings and open fireplaces. The property is surrounded by an acre of landscaped gardens, and platypuses are sometimes seen in the freshwater creek, which runs along the propertys boundary. Mole Creek sits beneath the Great Western Tiers mountain range. You can explore the areas limestone caves, visit a nearby wildlife park or bushwalk in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park.
